This action revokes Alaskan Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) Federal Airway V-414 and amends United States Area Navigation (RNAV) Routes T-248 and T-250 in Alaska. These actions are due to the decommissioning of the Nondirectional Radio Beacon (NDB) portion of the Gambell NDB/distance measuring equipment (DME) in Alaska.
This action amends Colored Federal Airways Green 8 (G-8), Green 10 (G-10), Green 12 (G-12), and Red 99 (R-99); and revokes Colored Federal Airway Blue 27 (B-27) and Alaskan Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) Federal Airway V-619 in Alaska. This action is due to the decommissioning of the Chinook, Fort Davis, Hotham, Oscarville, and Kachemak Nondirectional Radio Beacons (NDB) in Alaska.
NMFS is prohibiting directed fishing for Pacific cod by catcher/processors using hook-and-line (HAL) gear in the Central Regulatory Area of the Gulf of Alaska (GOA). This action is necessary to prevent exceeding the A season allowance of the 2025 Pacific cod total allowable catch (TAC) apportioned to catcher/processors using HAL gear in the Central Regulatory Area of the GOA.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is notifying the public that we have found the motor vehicle emissions budgets adequate for transportation conformity purposes for the Fairbanks North Star Borough's 2006 24-hour fine particulate matter (PM<INF>2.5</INF>) nonattainment area. The budgets were submitted on December 4, 2024, as part of Alaska's state implementation plan revisions (Fairbanks Revised 189(d) Plan). As a result of our finding, these budgets must be used when determining conformity of the Fairbanks transportation plan and transportation improvement program.

This action is necessary because the 2025 total allowable catch of shortraker rockfish for vessels other than these catcher/processors has been reached.
NMFS is prohibiting recreational fishing for Chinook salmon in the Cook Inlet exclusive economic zone (EEZ) Area. This action is necessary for the conservation of Cook Inlet Chinook salmon stocks that continue to be in a low state of abundance as assessed in the NMFS 2025 stock assessment and fisheries evaluation (SAFE) report and the 2025 State of Alaska forecasts of very low run strength.

This action is necessary to establish harvest limits for salmon during the 2025 fishing year and to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Fishery Management Plan for Salmon Fisheries in the EEZ off Alaska (Salmon FMP). The intended effect of this action is to conserve and manage the salmon resources in Cook Inlet EEZ Area in accordance with the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (Magnuson- Stevens Act).
NMFS is providing notification of the Central Gulf of Alaska (GOA) Rockfish Program cooperative allocations that are based on final total allowable catch (TAC) limits in the final rule published on March 18, 2025, implementing the final 2025 and 2026 harvest specifications and prohibited species catch (PSC) limits for the groundfish fishery of the GOA. These allocations are necessary to provide the Rockfish Program cooperative amounts for 2025, thus allowing commercial fishermen to maximize their economic opportunities in this fishery, consistent with the goals and objectives of the Fishery Management Plan for Groundfish of the GOA (FMP).

We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), are revising the migratory bird subsistence harvest regulations in Alaska. Subsistence harvest regulations allow for the continuation of customary and traditional subsistence uses of migratory birds in Alaska and establish when and where the harvesting of certain migratory birds may occur within each subsistence region. Subsistence harvest regulations, including the changes set forth in this document, were developed under a co-management process involving the Service, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, and Alaska Native representatives.

NMFS is opening directed fishing for sablefish with fixed gear managed under the Individual Fishing Quota (IFQ) Program and the Community Development Quota (CDQ) Program. The season will open 1200 hours, Alaska local time (A.l.t.), March 20, 2025, and will close 1200 hours, A.l.t., December 7, 2025. This period is the same as the 2025 commercial halibut fishery opening dates adopted by the International Pacific Halibut Commission (IPHC), except the hours are not the same. The IFQ and CDQ halibut season dates are the same as specified by a separate publication in the Federal Register of annual management measures, which should be referenced for the halibut specific open and closure times.
