The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain THOMMEN AIRCRAFT EQUIPMENT AG (THOMMEN) AC32 Digital Air Data Computers. This AD results from occurrences of AC32 Digital Air Data Computers (ADCs) that stop functioning below certain temperatures. This AD requires replacing an affected AC32 Digital ADC with a serviceable part. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Deutsche Aircraft GmbH (Type Certificate previously held by 328 Support Services GmbH; AvCraft Aerospace GmbH; Fairchild Dornier GmbH; Dornier Luftfahrt GmbH) Model 328-100 and Model 328-300 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report of a nose landing gear (NLG) uplock bracket assembly cracking. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking comment on the impacts of removing certain aircraft registration data from public display on the FAA website, including through current search functions and published reports. The removal of this data is intended to satisfy the requirement in section 803 of the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024, requiring removal of private aircraft owner or operator Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from broad dissemination or display by the FAA, including on a publicly available website of the FAA.

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD-500-1A10 and BD-500-1A11 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a design review that discovered software protection logic for potential large leaks from the engine bleed duct inside the engine core compartments was partially impaired. This AD requires revising the existing airplane flight manual (AFM) to incorporate the procedures for the flightcrew to manually isolate the opposite functional engine in the event of an engine bleed duct large leak condition, as specified in a Transport Canada AD, which is incorporated by reference (IBR). The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2022-25-51, which applies to all Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD-500-1A10 and Model BD-500-1A11 airplanes. AD 2022-25-51 requires revising the Limitations section of the existing airplane flight manual (AFM) to include a new warning and a new limitation. Since the FAA issued AD 2022-25-51, updated primary flight control computer (PFCC) software has been developed to address the unsafe condition. This proposed AD would continue to require the actions in AD 2022-25-51, require installing the updated PFCC software, which terminates the AFM revision, and remove airplanes from the applicability, as specified in a Transport Canada AD, which is proposed for incorporation by reference (IBR). The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2022-01- 02, which applied to certain De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited Model DHC-8-400, -401, and -402 airplanes. AD 2022-01-02 required inspecting for corrosion of the nacelle to wing rear spar attachment pins, and the nacelle to landing gear attachment pins, and doing all applicable corrective actions. This AD was prompted by a determination that some operators were unable to identify the airplanes subject to each requirement. This AD continues to require the actions specified in AD 2022-01-02, clarifies the affected airplanes for each required action, and revises the applicability by removing Model DHC-8-400 airplanes; as specified in Transport Canada AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Textron Aviation, Inc., Model 560 and 560XL airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of mis-wired fire extinguishing bottles. This proposed AD would require an engine fire extinguisher system functional test, an inspection of the fire extinguisher bottle cartridge wire numbers and yellow ID sleeves for proper identification and legibility, and applicable corrective actions. This proposed AD would also require revising the existing inspection program to incorporate new airworthiness limitations for repetitive inspections of the engine fire extinguisher wiring and, as applicable, auxiliary power unit (APU) fire extinguisher wiring. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD-500-1A10 and BD-500- 1A11 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report that the nose radome lightning diverter strips on certain aircraft were painted in production; paint on the diverter strips can compromise the nose radome lightning protection. This AD requires inspecting for paint on the diverter strips on the nose radome, and replacing the nose radome if necessary, as specified in a Transport Canada AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD-500-1A10 and BD-500- 1A11 airplanes. The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2023-26-05, which applies to certain Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. (Pilatus) Model PC-24 airplanes. AD 2023-26-05 requires periodic replacement of affected titanium threaded bolts, a one-time inspection of the rudder mass balance arm and other elements of the rudder trim tab installation for correct attachment, damage (gouges), cracks, deformation, surface finish, and corrosion on any surrounding parts and, depending on findings, the accomplishment of applicable corrective actions. Since the FAA issued AD 2023-26-05, it was determined that some batches of titanium bolts had variations in the microstructure that could affect the fatigue characteristics. This proposed AD would require replacing affected short rudder-trim control rod assemblies with serviceable rudder-trim control rod assemblies having threaded steel bolts and would prohibit the installation of affected parts, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is proposed for incorporation by reference. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD-500-1A10 and BD- 500-1A11 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by an investigation that showed a change in the feed-through connector O-ring material at a certain frame increased the electrical bonding resistance due to the current torque specification being inadequate. This proposed AD would require electrical bonding tests between the feed-through connectors and the forward side of the bulkhead at a certain frame, and the installation of two electrical bonding plates of connectors, as applicable, as specified in a Transport Canada AD, which is proposed for incorporation by reference (IBR). The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD-500-1A10 and BD-500- 1A11 airplanes. This AD was prompted by reported events of annunciated horizontal stabilizer trim actuator (HSTA) jams occurring at the end of the cruise phase of flight. This AD requires lubricating the HSTA using an improved method, at a reduced interval, as specified in a Transport Canada AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain FS 2001 Corp, FS 2002 Corporation, FS 2003 Corporation, Piper, and Piper Aircraft, Inc. (Piper) airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of broken rudders. This AD requires replacing any rudder equipped with a rudder post made from a certain carbon steel with a rudder equipped with a rudder post made from a certain low-alloy steel. The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD-500-1A10 and BD- 500-1A11 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by certification testing that found that environmental control system (ECS) ducts manufactured using a certain material failed the flammability test requirements established for compliance. This proposed AD would require inspecting the affected ECS ducts and, as applicable, installing a fire-resistant sleeve assembly over any non-compliant ECS duct, and prohibit the installation of ECS ducts as replacement parts under certain conditions, as specified in a Transport Canada AD, which is proposed for incorporation by reference (IBR). The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is updating certain procedural regulations relating to civil aircraft registration and recordation to provide administrative relief from the requirements for submitting original documents and to sunset the FAA's practice of stamping documents. Amending these regulations will reduce administrative burdens and enable the FAA to better utilize the capabilities of the Civil Aviation Registry Electronic Services (CARES) system for civil aircraft registration and recordation.
This rulemaking amends FAA regulations pertaining to aircraft registration and dealer's registration certificates to facilitate the electronic issuance of these certificates. Electronic issuance of the certificates is more efficient and cost effective than the traditional agency procedure of printing paper registration certificates and mailing them to aircraft owners and dealers.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is issuing technical amendments to certain aviation security regulations. The technical amendments to the regulations clarify that airport operators and aircraft operators are required to retain only the criminal records, including the application for a criminal history records check (CHRC), associated with an individual's current CHRC, CHRC certification, or authorization to perform a covered function and not records associated with previous CHRCs or employment investigations. Also, the technical amendments clarify that the records may be stored in paper or electronic form.
