The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bombardier, Inc., Model BD-700-1A10 and BD-700-1A11 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a determination that the approach speed adders and landing distance factors must be corrected in the airplane flight manual (AFM) tables in the non-normal procedure for the SLAT FAIL (Caution) crew alerting system (CAS) message. This proposed AD would require revising the existing AFM to provide the flightcrew with the correct approach speed adders and landing distance factors for the non-normal procedures for the SLAT FAIL (Caution) CAS message. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2025-22-02, which applies to certain MHI RJ Aviation ULC (type certificate previously held by Bombardier, Inc.) Model CL-600-2C10 (Regional Jet Series 700, 701 &702), CL-600-2C11 (Regional Jet Series 550), CL-600-2D15 (Regional Jet Series 705), CL-600-2D24 (Regional Jet Series 900), and CL-600-2E25 (Regional Jet Series 1000) airplanes. AD 2025-22-02 requires repetitive torque checks of the H-stab anti-yaw steady fitting block bolts. Since the FAA issued AD 2025-22-02, it was determined that additional actions must be done to address the unsafe condition. This proposed AD would continue to require the actions in AD 2025-22-02 and would require replacing the H-Stab anti-yaw steady fitting block hardware. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
This action amends the applicability of special conditions that were issued for the Safran Electric & Power S.A. Model ENGINe US100A1 electric engines. These engines have a novel or unusual design feature when compared to the state of technology envisioned in the airworthiness standards applicable to aircraft engines. The design feature is the use of an electric motor, motor controller, and high- voltage systems as the primary source of propulsion for an aircraft. The applicable airworthiness regulations do not contain adequate or appropriate safety standards for this design feature. This action amends the applicability of Special Conditions No. 33-23-01-SC, dated December 27, 2024, which contain the additional safety standards that the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that established by the existing airworthiness standards, to include the ENGINe US100 series electric engines.
The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH (AHD) Model MBB-BK 117 C-2 and MBB-BK 117 D-2 helicopters. This proposed AD was prompted by a determination that a certain part-numbered standard MS18027 type hook may be subject to localized yielding in the mating threads when assembled to higher assembly torques. This proposed AD would require modifying and re-identifying the affected part or replacing the affected part with a serviceable part. This proposed AD would also prohibit installing an affected part on any helicopter unless certain requirements are met. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2018-11-14, which applies to certain The Boeing Company Model 767-300 and -300F series airplanes. AD 2018-11-14 requires high frequency eddy current (HFEC) inspections for cracking of the lower outboard wing skin, and repair or modification if necessary. AD 2018-11-14 also requires one of three follow-on actions: Repeating the HFEC inspections, modifying certain internal stringers and oversizing and plugging the existing fastener holes of the lower wing or modifying the external doubler/tripler and doing repetitive post-modification inspections. Since the FAA issued AD 2018-11-14, it was determined that, for certain airplanes, the area of the lower wing skin in the vicinity of the critical inboard end fasteners of installed repair doublers must be inspected. In addition, it was determined that airplanes who have installed Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) ST01920SE and removed the STC winglets are also affected by the unsafe condition. This proposed AD would continue to require the actions in AD 2018-11-14, add airplanes to the applicability who have installed STC ST01920SE and removed the STC winglets, and, for certain airplanes, would require repetitive internal and external HFEC inspections of the lower outboard wing skin common to the external doubler repair at stringer L-9.5 and repair if necessary. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Leonardo S.p.a. Model AB139, AW139, and AW189 helicopters. This proposed AD was prompted by a report of cracks on the left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) tube assemblies installed on the brake pedal assemblies. This proposed AD would require repetitively inspecting the LH and RH tube assemblies for Model AB139 and AW139 helicopters, and the LH and RH pedal shaft assemblies for Model AW189 helicopters, and depending on the results of the inspection, corrective actions. This proposed AD would also prohibit installing certain parts unless certain requirements are met. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
FAA is revising its regulations to implement certain flight restrictions in the airspace over the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) permanently. These revisions are necessary to mitigate the potential for midair collisions resulting from insufficient separation between fixed-wing aircraft operating to or from DCA and helicopters or powered-lift operating in the vertical- lift flight mode near DCA. The revisions will also fully implement a National Transportation Safety Board safety recommendation. The flight restrictions will prohibit helicopters and powered-lift operating in the vertical-lift flight mode from operating in a designated area near DCA unless these aircraft are conducting an essential operation.
This action establishes Class E airspace at Washburn, ND. This action is due to the development of new public instrument procedures at Washburn Municipal Airport, Washburn, ND, and to support instrument flight rule (IFR) operations.
This action proposes to revoke the Class E airspace at Zuni, NM. The FAA is proposing this action due to the closure of Black Rock Airport at Zuni Pueblo, NM.
The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2023-11-05, which applies to all Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. (Pilatus) Model PC-24 airplanes. AD 2023-11-05 requires revising the airworthiness limitations section (ALS) of the existing aircraft maintenance manual (AMM) or instructions for continued airworthiness (ICA) to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. Since the FAA issued AD 2023-11-05, the FAA has determined that new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations are necessary. This proposed AD would require revising the ALS of the existing AMM or ICA for your airplane. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH (AHD) Model EC135P1, EC135P2, EC135P2+, EC135P3, EC135T1, EC135T2, EC135T2+, EC635T2+, and EC135T3 helicopters. This AD was prompted by reports of ruptured and deformed flexible couplings. This AD requires inspecting the axial displacement of the tail rotor drive shaft and, depending on the results, taking corrective actions including inspecting the flexible couplings. This AD also prohibits installing a tail rotor drive shaft unless certain procedures are followed. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
This action amends Class D and Class E4 airspace at Wilkes- Barre/Scranton International Airport, Wilkes-Barre, PA, due to the currently designated airspace not properly containing instrument flight rule (IFR) operations, which require controlled airspace. This action also updates the geographic coordinates of the airport and language related to the hours of operation of the air traffic control tower within the airspace legal descriptions.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain PZL-Swidnik S.A. (Swidnik) Model PZL W-3A helicopters. This AD was prompted by the detection of corrosion on the main rotor blade (MRB) attachment bolts. This AD requires repetitively inspecting the MRB attachment bolts and, depending on the results of the inspection, repairing or replacing any affected bolts. This AD also requires reporting the inspection results and prohibits installing any MRB attachment bolt unless certain requirements are met. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Leonardo S.p.A. Model AB412 and AB412 EP helicopters. This AD was prompted by a report of a cracked left upper cap angle (cap angle) having a certain part-number. This AD requires repetitively inspecting the cap angle and, depending on the results, performing corrective actions. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
This action amends the Class D and Class E airspace at Mansfield, OH; and the Class E airspace at Ashland and Bucyrus, OH. The name of the Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport, Mansfield, OH; the name and geographic coordinates of the University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center Heliport, Ashland, OH, and Port Bucyrus/Crawford County Airport, Bucyrus, OH, are also being updated to coincide with the FAA's aeronautical database. This action is the result of airspace reviews conducted due to the decommissioning of the Mansfield very high frequency omnidirectional range (VOR) as part of the VOR Minimum Operational Network (MON) Program. This action brings the airspace into compliance with FAA orders and supports instrument flight rule (IFR) procedures and operations.

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Honda Aircraft Company LLC (Honda) Model HA-420 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a report of tool damage to multiple locations on the interior fuselage skin fiber and the omission of certain service material from the Airworthiness Limitations Section (ALS) of the maintenance manual. This proposed AD would require incorporating certain material into the ALS of the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
This rule establishes, amends, suspends, or removes Standard Instrument Approach Procedures (SIAPS) and associated Takeoff Minimums and Obstacle Departure procedures (ODPs) for operations at certain airports. These regulatory actions are needed because of the adoption of new or revised criteria, or because of changes occurring in the National Airspace System, such as the commissioning of new navigational facilities, adding new obstacles, or changing air traffic requirements. These changes are designed to provide safe and efficient use of the navigable airspace and to promote safe flight operations under instrument flight rules at the affected airports.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain CFM International, S.A. (CFM) Model LEAP-1A23, LEAP-1A24, LEAP- 1A24E1, LEAP-1A26, LEAP-1A26CJ, LEAP-1A26E1, LEAP-1A29, LEAP-1A29CJ, LEAP-1A30, LEAP-1A32, LEAP-1A33, LEAP-1A33B2, and LEAP-1A35A engines. This AD was prompted by a report of multiple aborted takeoffs and air turn-backs (ATBs) caused by high-pressure compressor (HPC) stall, which was induced by high levels of non-synchronous vibration (NSV). Additional manufacturer investigation revealed that wear on the No. 3 bearing spring finger housing can lead to high levels of NSV. This AD requires initial and repetitive calculations of the levels of NSV, inspection of the stage 2 high-pressure turbine (HPT) nozzle assembly honeycomb and HPT stator stationary seal honeycomb and, depending on the results of the calculations and inspections, replacement of certain parts. This AD also requires replacement of certain No. 3 bearing spring finger housings at the next shop visit. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Baykar Piaggio Aerospace S.p.A. (type certificate previously held by Piaggio Aviation S.p.A.) (Piaggio) Model P-180 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of corrosion and cracks affecting the vertical stabilizer. This proposed AD would require repetitive visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections, a one-time NDT inspection of the vertical stabilizer assembly, and, depending on findings, accomplishment of corrective actions. In addition, this AD would provide a terminating action for the repetitive inspections. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Bombardier, Inc., Model BD-100-1A10 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report that some parts of horizontal stabilizer trim actuators (HSTAs) that were meant to be replaced through a required overhaul were not replaced and were instead reinstalled on the HSTAs. This AD requires verification of the HSTA serial number, and, if applicable, replacement of the HSTA. This AD also prohibits the installation of affected parts under certain conditions. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. (Pilatus) Model PC-12/47E airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a report that, during an engine start on the ground, the airplane battery voltage dropped to a value that resulted in an avionic system shutdown. This proposed AD would require incorporating a temporary revision into the existing pilot's operating handbook (POH) for the affected airplanes to provide operators with instructions for an enhanced engine start procedure. The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Leonardo S.p.A. Model AB139 and AW139 helicopters. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of a damaged spare inflation system of a certain life raft kit due to the inappropriate shipment of the parts. This proposed AD would require replacing certain life raft inflation systems and would prohibit the installation of an affected life raft inflation system on any helicopter. The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. (Pilatus) Model PC-12 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a report that the emergency exit door could not be opened from inside an airplane. This proposed AD would require a visual inspection of the passenger service unit (PSU) trim panel for dual lock fastener tapes and modification if dual lock fastener tapes are not installed. This proposed AD would also prohibit the installation of affected parts. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2018-19-16 for all CFM International, S.A. (CFM) Model LEAP-1A23, -1A24, -1A24E1, -1A26, -1A26E1, -1A26CJ, -1A29, -1A29CJ, -1A30, -1A32, -1A33, -1A33B2, and -1A35A engines with certain full authority digital engine control (FADEC) and prognostic health monitoring (PHM) software installed. AD 2018-19-16 required removing certain FADEC and PHM software and installing versions eligible for installation. Since the FAA issued AD 2018-19-16, the manufacturer has developed a new pressure subsystem (PSS) with a heater element to evaporate potential moisture on the PSS manifold/transducer interface and prevent freezing at low temperature. This AD requires replacing certain FADEC and PHM software with new versions that are eligible for installation, replacing certain harnesses with newly designed harnesses, and replacing the PSS with a newly designed heated PSS. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
This action proposes to establish Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Birch Creek Airport, Birch Creek, AK. This action would support the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at the airport.
The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2024-24-02, which applies to all Safran Helicopter Engines, S.A. (Safran) Model ARRIUS 2F engines. AD 2024-24-02 requires removal of the affected fuel control unit (FCU) from service and replacement with a serviceable part. Since the FAA issued AD 2024-24-02, it was determined that certain serial numbers of the affected FCUs are not subject to the unsafe condition. This proposed AD would continue to require removal of the affected FCU from service and replacement with a serviceable part. This proposed AD would also reduce the number of affected FCUs. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
