The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2017-21- 05, which applied to certain Saab AB Model 340A (SAAB/SF340A) and SAAB 340B airplanes. AD 2017-21-05 required revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate airworthiness limitations, including new inspection tasks for the drag brace support fitting of the main landing gear (MLG) and tasks related to the corrosion prevention and control program (CPCP). This AD was prompted by a determination that new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations are necessary. This AD continues to require the actions in AD 2017-21-05 and requires revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference (IBR). The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Embraer S.A. Model EMB-120, -120ER, -120FC, -120QC, and -120RT airplanes. This AD was prompted by a structural assessment, which found that the fuselage longitudinal skin splice and panel between certain frames are susceptible to cracking. This AD requires performing repetitive inspections of the fuselage center I longitudinal skin splice and applicable corrective actions, as specified in an Ag[ecirc]ncia Nacional de Avia[ccedil][atilde]o Civil (ANAC) AD, which is incorporated by reference (IBR). The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is revising a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) that applied to all airplanes with certain Pacific Scientific Company rotary buckle assemblies (buckles) installed. This action revises the NPRM by expanding the applicability and updating the referenced material. As an option to the actions proposed by this SNPRM, this SNPRM would allow removing the male side from the lap of the restraint system assembly and installing a placard stating that use of the seat is prohibited; use of that crewmember seat or passenger seat would then be prohibited until the actions proposed by this SNPRM are accomplished and the male side from the lap of the restraint system assembly is reinstalled. The NPRM was prompted by a report of a manufacturing defect in the screws used inside the buckle; this SNPRM is prompted by the discovery that additional screws are affected by the unsafe condition. The FAA is proposing this airworthiness directive (AD) to address the unsafe condition on these products. Since these actions would impose an additional burden over that in the NPRM, the FAA is requesting comments on this SNPRM.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus SAS Model A318, A319, A320, and A321 series airplanes; Model A330-200, -200 Freighter, -300, -800, and -900 series airplanes; and Model A340-200, -300, -500, and -600 series airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of trimmable horizontal stabilizer actuators (THSAs) being delivered to operators having erroneous information (accumulated life) in the authorized release certificate. This AD requires contacting Collins Aerospace for amended authorized release certificates for the affected parts and replacing the affected parts if necessary, and prohibits the installation of affected parts, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all MHI RJ Aviation ULC Model CL-600-2B19 (Regional Jet Series 100 & 440) airplanes. This AD was prompted by the discovery of ten ultrasonic inspections associated with airworthiness limitations (AWL) tasks and structural deviation inspection requirements (SDIR) tasks potentially not detecting cracks. This AD requires repetitive ultrasonic inspections of certain structural areas for cracking, and prohibits use of the previous revisions of certain procedures and mandates the use of the revised procedures when performing the inspections required by the associated AWL and SDIR tasks, as specified in a Transport Canada AD, which is incorporated by reference (IBR). This AD also requires repair of cracking. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bombardier, Inc., Model BD-100-1A10 airplanes. This AD was prompted by uncommanded horizontal stabilizer motion during several in- service events caused by a problem with the trim switch wiring. This AD requires installing the pitch/roll trim switch relays. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2020-03- 20, which applied to certain The Boeing Company Model MD-11, MD-11F, and 717-200 airplanes; all Model 737-8 and 737-9 airplanes; all Model 737-600, -700, -700C, -800, -900, and -900ER series airplanes; certain Model 747-400 and 747-400F series airplanes; certain Model 757 and 767 airplanes; and all Model 777 airplanes. AD 2020-03-20 required revising the existing airplane flight manual (AFM) to include a limitation to prohibit operations that require less than 0.3 required navigational performance (RNP) within a specified area for airplanes having a certain multimode receiver (MMR) with certain software installed. This AD was prompted by reports from Boeing of simultaneous MMR resets related to an error in calculating Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). This AD requires the actions in AD 2020-03-20, removes an airplane model from the applicability, and would also require installing certain MMR operational software (OPS). The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 757-200, -200CB, and -200PF series airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report indicating an operator has found cracks on three Model 757-200PF airplanes at the main deck cargo door cutout forward and aft hinge attachment holes. This AD requires a maintenance record check for repairs at the forward and aft hinge areas of the main deck cargo door cutout; repetitive open-hole high frequency eddy current (HFEC) inspections for cracks in the unrepaired areas of the bear strap, skin, doubler, and upper sill chord at the main deck cargo door forward and aft hinge attachment holes; and applicable corrective actions. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
This action amends domestic Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) Federal Airways V-3, V-35, V-51, V-97, V- 157, V-159, V-225, V-437, V-492, V-521, and V-537 and revokes VOR Federal Airways V-295, V-529, and V-601 in the eastern United States. The FAA is taking this action due to the planned decommissioning of the Cypress, FL (CYY), VOR/Distance Measuring Equipment (VOR/DME); the La Belle, FL (LBV), VOR/Tactical Air Navigation (VORTAC); the Pahokee, FL (PHK), VOR/DME; and the Treasure, FL (TRV), VORTAC. This action is in support of the FAA's VOR Minimum Operational Network (MON) Program.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all The Boeing Company (Boeing) Model 747-100, 747-100B, 747-100B SUD, 747- 200B, 747-200C, 747-200F, 747-300, 747-400, 747-400D, 747-400F, 747SP, and 747SR series airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report of improper inner diameter grinding of landing gear outer cylinders, resulting in possible heat damage to the outer cylinder of the nose landing gear (NLG), body landing gear (BLG), and wing landing gear (WLG). This AD requires replacing any affected outer cylinders. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
This action amends Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface for Mission Hospital McDowell, Marion, NC, by adding airspace for Mission Hospital McDowell Heliport. This action also corrects the name from McDowell Hospital to Mission Hospital McDowell. It also removes Point In Space Coordinates for McDowell Hospital and replaces them with the correct Mission Hospital McDowell coordinates. Controlled airspace is necessary for the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at this airport.
The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Leonardo S.p.a. Model A119 and AW119 MKII helicopters. This proposed AD was prompted by a report of an electrical failure of the starter-generator, due to a rupture of the drive shaft, which resulted in a partial loss of battery power. This proposed AD would require installing a battery discharge detector and revising the existing Rotorcraft Flight Manual (RFM) for the helicopter, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is proposed for incorporation by reference. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Leonardo S.p.a. Model A109E, A109S, and AW109SP helicopters. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of incorrect installation of the motor (MTR) cables and the bonding braids connected to the engine fire extinguisher bottles. This proposed AD would require inspecting the cables and bonding braids installation and, depending on the results, accomplishing corrective action, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is proposed for incorporation by reference. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
These special conditions are issued for the Airbus Model A321neo ACF and A321neo XLR airplanes. These airplanes will have a novel or unusual design feature when compared to the state of technology envisioned in the airworthiness standards for transport category airplanes. This design feature is a single-occupant oblique seat with an airbag and 3-point or pretensioner restraint system positioned at a 49-degree angle from the cabin centerline. The applicable airworthiness regulations do not contain adequate or appropriate safety standards for this design feature. These special conditions contain the additional safety standards that the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that established by the existing airworthiness standards.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus SAS Model A300 B4-601, B4-603, B4-620, B4-622, B4-605R, B4-622R, C4-605R Variant F, F4-605R, and F4-622R airplanes; Model A310 series airplanes; Model A318, A319, A320, and A321 series airplanes; Model A330-200, -200 Freighter, and -300 series airplanes; Model A330-841 and -941 airplanes; and Model A340-211, -212, -213, -311, -312, -313, -541, and -642 airplanes. This AD was prompted by chemical oxygen generators that failed to activate in service and during maintenance activities. This AD requires replacing affected oxygen generators and prohibits the installation of affected parts, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
This action proposes to amend the Class E airspace at Marysville, OH. The FAA is proposing this action as the result of an airspace review conducted due to the decommissioning of the Marysville nondirectional beacon (NDB). This action will bring the airspace into compliance with FAA orders and support instrument flight rule (IFR) procedures and operations.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain CFM International, S.A. (CFM) Model LEAP-1A and LEAP-1C engines. This AD was prompted by an investigation of an in-flight shut down event that revealed the aft arm of the high-pressure turbine (HPT) rotor interstage seal had failed. This AD requires removal from service and replacement of the HPT rotor interstage seal for LEAP-1A engines. Since the HPT rotor interstage seal part number is interchangeable between LEAP-1A and LEAP-1C engines, this AD also prohibits installation of these affected parts onto any LEAP-1A or LEAP-1C engine. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

This action proposes special conditions for the Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation (Gulfstream) Model GVII-G400 airplane. This airplane will have a novel or unusual design feature when compared to the state of technology envisioned in the airworthiness standards for transport-category airplanes. The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain DAHER AEROSPACE (DAHER) Model TBM 700 airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of wear of the inner flap actuator drive nut. This AD requires cleaning and lubricating the internal actuator rods, measuring the play between the drive nuts and the internal actuator rods, and if any play is found, replacing the drive nuts. This AD also allows replacing the drive nuts with certain other design drive nuts as terminating action for the requirements. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Britten-Norman Aerospace Ltd. Model BN-2, BN-2A, BN-2A-2, BN- 2A-3, BN-2A-6, BN-2A-8, BN-2A-9, BN-2A-20, BN-2A-21, BN-2A-26, BN-2A- 27, BN-2B-20, BN-2B-21, BN-2B-26, BN-2B-27, BN-2T, BN2T-4R, and BN2T-4S airplanes; and certain Model BN2A MK. III, BN2A MK. III-2, and BN2A MK. III-3 airplanes. This AD was prompted by the determination that, in order to ensure the continued structural integrity of certain landing gear and associated components, it is necessary to require removal of these components from service prior to exceeding established fatigue lives. This AD requires determining the number of landings on affected main landing gears (MLGs), nose landing gears (NLGs), and associated components; removing from service any part that has reached or exceeded the established fatigue life and installing a replacement part; and prohibiting the installation of any affected part unless the number of landings for that part is below the established fatigue life. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2021-10- 02, which applied to all Bombardier, Inc., Model BD-700-1A10 and BD- 700-1A11 airplanes. AD 2021-10-02 required repetitive general visual inspections of the left- and right-hand elevator torque tube bearings for any sand, dust, or corrosion; repetitive functional tests of the elevator control system; and replacement of the elevator torque tube bearings if necessary. This AD continues to require certain actions in AD 2021-10-02 and requires revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate a new airworthiness limitation. This AD was prompted by a determination that a new airworthiness limitation is necessary. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2019-14- 13, which applies to all The Boeing Company Model 767-200, -300, -300F, and -400ER series airplanes. AD 2019-14-13 required identifying the part number, and the serial number if applicable, of the Captain's and First Officer's seats, and performing applicable on-condition actions for affected seats. AD 2019-14-13 also required a one-time detailed inspection and repetitive checks of the horizontal movement system (HMS) of the Captain's and First Officer's seats, and applicable on- condition actions. AD 2019-14-13 also provided an optional terminating action for the repetitive actions for certain seats. This AD was prompted by reports of uncommanded fore and aft movement of the Captain's and First Officer's seats. This AD retains the actions in AD 2019-14-13 and adds an inspection of previously omitted part numbers. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

AD 2022-11-01 required a detailed inspection (DET) of the main landing gear (MLG) support rib 5 lower flange, a fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) around the spot facing of certain fastener holes if necessary, and applicable corrective actions. This AD was prompted by the determination that additional airplanes are affected by the unsafe condition. This AD continues to require the actions in AD 2022-11-01 and adds airplanes to the applicability, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Embraer S.A. The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all The Boeing Company Model 787-8, 787-9, and 787-10 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report of operators receiving No. 1 flight compartment windows that may not meet type design requirements for withstanding a bird impact. This AD requires replacing affected No. 1 flight compartment windows and prohibits the installation of affected windows. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
This action amends Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) Federal Airways V-9, V-78, V-341, and V-430, and Canadian Area Navigation (RNAV) Route T-765; and establishes United States (U.S.) RNAV Route T-490. The FAA is taking this action due to the planned decommissioning of the VOR portion of the Iron Mountain, MI (IMT), VOR/ Distance Measuring Equipment (VOR/DME) navigational aid (NAVAID).
