Virginia Commission to End Hunger; statewide food desert mapping tool; report. Directs the Virginia Commission to End Hunger to establish a statewide food desert mapping tool, using geographic, socioeconomic, and demographic data to identify food deserts and food apartheid zones in the Commonwealth in order to create a comprehensive and actionable statewide food desert mapping tool. The Commission is directed to collaborate with the Departments of Health, Agriculture and Consumer Services, and Social Services, in addition to universities and nonprofit organizations with relevant experience and expertise, to build the mapping tool. Technical assistance in building the mapping tool shall be provided to the Commission by the Division of Legislative Automated Systems.
