Minors; creation of the Georgia Baby Bond Savings Plan

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Title 39 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to minors, so as to provide for the creation of the Georgia Baby Bond Savings Plan; to provide for the administration of such plan; to provide for a board of directors; to authorize the board of directors to invest plan funds; to provide for the creation of a fund in the state treasury; to provide the authority for establishing a comprehensive investment plan; to provide for furnishing annual financial statements to savings trust account owners; to provide for eligibility requirements for the plan; to authorize the General Assembly to contribute to the plan; to provide for minimum contributions by the General Assembly to the plan; to provide for definitions; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
