Existing law establishes the Alfred E. Alquist Seismic Safety Commission as a separate unit within the Office of Emergency Services to, among other things, monitor and track the activities and responsibilities of various government agencies related to earthquake preparedness and seismic safety and to develop findings and recommendations to reduce losses and to speed recovery following a destructive earthquake. This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
