The Amusement Rides Safety Law requires the Division of Occupational Safety and Health to promulgate and formulate rules and regulations for adoption by the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board for the safe installation, repair, maintenance, use, operation, and inspection of all amusement rides as the division finds necessary for the protection of the general public using amusement rides. The law requires an operator, as defined, to, before a new amusement ride is erected or whenever any additions or alterations are made that change the structure, mechanism, classification, or capacity of an amusement ride, file with the division or a public entity a notice of the operator's intention and any plans or diagrams requested by the division. This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the provision requiring an operator to file specified information.
