Existing law, the California Early Intervention Services Act, provides a statewide system of coordinated, comprehensive, family-centered, multidisciplinary, and interagency programs that are responsible for providing appropriate early intervention services and supports to all eligible infants and toddlers and their families. Existing law requires that each infant or toddler referred for evaluation under the act have a timely evaluation to determine eligibility, and an assessment by qualified personnel to identify, among other things, the child's strengths, needs, and appropriate services. This bill would make a nonsubstantive, technical change to these provisions.
