Existing law, the Planning and Zoning Law, requires a city or county to adopt a general plan for land use development within its boundaries that includes, among other things, a housing element. Existing law requires the planning agency of a city or county to provide an annual report to certain specified entities by April 1 of each year that includes specified information, including the status of the general plan and progress in its implementation. This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.
