Existing law establishes the Medi-Cal program, which is administered by the State Department of Health Care Services and under which qualified low-income individuals receive health care services. Pursuant to existing law, health care granted under the Medi-Cal program is subject to laws amending, repealing, or supplementing provisions affecting the Medi-Cal program, and subject to the rules and regulations of the department. Existing law provides that an individual receiving health care from the Medi-Cal program does not have a claim for compensation or otherwise because their service is affected by those changes. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to that provision.
