Existing law, as amended by Proposition 58, a measure approved by the voters at the November 8, 2016, statewide general election, contains findings and declarations regarding the value of the English language and multilingualism. Proposition 58 expresses the resolve of the people of California to ensure that all children in public schools shall receive the highest quality education, master the English language, and access high-quality, innovative, and research-based language programs. This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
