Vehicles: transportation of manufactured homes.

Existing law authorizes the Department of Transportation or a local authority to issue a permit for the transporting of a manufactured home that is more than 14 feet but not more than 16 feet in total width upon any highway. Existing law prescribes specified requirements and conditions for transporting a manufactured home of these dimensions, and prohibits the Department of Transportation from issuing a permit to move a manufactured home unless the department determines that all of those requirements and conditions have been met. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.
