Existing law establishes the Health Care Payments Data Program administered by the Department of Health Care Access and Information. Existing law requires the department to develop guidance requiring data submission from specified entities to include a methodology for the collection, validation, refinement, analysis, comparison, review, and improvement of health care data, including, but not limited to, data from fee-for-service, capitated, integrated delivery system, and other alternative, value-based, payment sources, and other forms of payment to health care providers and suppliers by health plans, health insurers, or other specified entities. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
