Existing law, commencing January 1, 2027, requires a youth sports organization to ensure that its coaches are certified, and recertified every 2 years to, among other things, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as specified. This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation relating to mental health training for youth sports coaches.
